On a recent trip to Weymouth and Chesil Beach we stopped at the Portland Bill Lighthouse in Dorset and it was a lovely day with blue sky and fluffy white clouds.
After some initial sketches, this idea emerged and reveals my interpretation of the Portland Bill Lighthouse.
The painting is the contrast between the light on the tower and the house where people live. The washing line is a typical element of my paintings and adds interest and a human touch to the painting. Also there are 3 seagulls in flight.
